I wish I could give this HELL hole no stars. WORST hospital I've ever been to. My husband went in for an infection with his foot and left with an infection in his kidneys. He had a nurse named Helene and she was so rude and disrespectful. She came in his room and told him he had to go take a test and that she didn't have to talk to me. Then she called security and tried to have me removed from the hospital all together. Doctors don't talk to each other. And they put him on the wrong medication whicb made him code. If you live life don't go to this hospital.

ORIGINAL COMMENTS:

Fantastic experiences with this hospital and ER. Here with my wife tonight, staff has been outstanding. Extremely polite, helpful, and upbeat. Very short wait time, even though the ER is busy, and the doctor walked into the exam room behind us. IV and meds were started minutes after the exam.

I AM LIVID. While the facility is great, ER VISITORS BEWARE!!! Apparently NONE of the doctors, PAs or DOs in the ER are actually employees of the hospital. They are all contracted and usually NOT in-network with private insurances (even though the hospital is in-network). Not only that, they bill separately from the hospital.

So, for the two visits I had this past summer (the second one was advised by the MD I saw at the first visit, totally unnecessary), I received two bills for my ER copay to the hospital (totally expected) AND two huge bills from the doctors!

My father was also hospitalized here briefly, same wonderful experience.

When I contacted my insurance, they even said I shouldn't be responsible for those bills given they paid the doctors at the in-network rate. But since those doctor bill at a higher contracted rate than my insurance allows, apparently they will saddle the patient with the remainder!

I've been given the run-around from their Billing department for a month. Never again. I'll find another hospital that uses in-network doctors.

Keep up the great work!

I wanted to give no stars but my Dr is great..But if you have to have pre admission testing that dept is a nightmare. My appt was for 9:30 I was told to be there by 9:10 so I called in the morning knowing I probably would be late the lady informs me that my appt isn't till 9:30 so getting there at 9:20 would not be a problem. So I get there at 9:20 and was handed a BLK transformer and told when it flashes and buzzes you'll be called so I go sit down and wait and my transformer is flashing red but not buzzing so I ignore it the first time the second time I get up go to the door and and tell the girl my transformer is flashing she says well no one called you I don't see it flashing so I sat down as soon as I sat down it starts flashing again I get up go to same rude girl and she says I told u it would buzz no one called you I then said to her maybe something is wrong with transformer she says laughing ok I'll get another one in between time three patients came from the back and done it was 9:50 and employees going and getting food one lady I'm assuming supervisor says what time was your appt I said 9:30 she says what time is it now I said 9:50 as she was one of the many employees I saw go on break and come back I know everyone is intitle to a break but there should be enough coverage for patient's needs and appt times. She goes in the back comes back out about five minutes later and says to me your are next well next was at 10:09 then went to get my testing done finally at 10:20.Plus I want to add I had a ekg test done and over less then a minute, blood work done less then a minute so I'm really not understanding why so long to wait for an appointment that was scheduled.Oh and valet parking well I waited for my car and getting into my car the guy says to me you have a flat I said how he then tells me you came in like that I did not have a flat and why didn't you page me or leave my car parked in the front instead of driving on it then I said did u write it on the slip he grabbed slip from my car pushing me out the way and looks at card and puts in his pocket then proceeded to tell me where the gas station is to put air in my tire.At this point I'm really frustrated and just get in my car and ride to a gas station on a flat tire that I didn't have when I gave them my keys.

The staff is very rude and unprofessional. Diana Frasco RN, CCRN, CEN, BEN was very rude and disrepectful, with that type of attitude she shouldn't work in the emergency room. Her approach is the worst she knows nothing about keeping a patient calm and comfortable while their in pain. I hope people who goes to this hospital really stand up and make compliants about staff like her who treat patient rude or less then with care.

UPDATE: I was contacted by a client advocate at the hospital a few days after posting my review and comments. She was incredibly nice and helpful and let me know that the staff had seen my comments and was looking into them. Two days after that, she reached back out to me to tell me that the billing department had waived my balance. So, while my initial comments remain, I’d like to add that the client advocate team at the hospital deserves 5 stars!
