Love these vets & they love our pets
I am very familiar with the Pennington Veterinary Clinic. My father has been taking his cats to the Pennington Veterinary Clinic for as long as I can remember. As the cats get older and require more attention, it is reassuring to know that the staff are caring, supportive, and understanding about both the lives of the cats and of our family. I am very thankful for the effort and performance that has been provided throughout the years.
I would've given them no stars at all if possible.
When I was eight years old, my cat Rusty got diabetes. My mom took him here, and the doctor told my mom to get a needle that was impossible to find. She found a different needle, then called and asked if she could use that instead to give Rusty his insulin. Without even looking at the needle, the doctor told her to use it. A few months later, my mom brought Rusty in for a checkup, and the doctor discovered that he was dying because he had only gotten half of the insulin he needed. That day, Rusty got put down. He died because the vet didn't bother to look at the needle my mom bought before giving her the OK to use it. I am NEVER bringing another pet there, and I advise everyone reading this to do the same.
Came to the vet as a new client and my first interaction with the vet was her saying, "Your dog needs Prozac". My dog is not perfect, but no other vet has said anything like that about my dog's behavior EVER. He barked, she was a stranger... doesn't seem like that extreme of a scenario. The appointment was supposed to be a meet and greet, but they took blood and ran blood work even though I specifically asked them not to on the phone (he had the exact same bloodwork done the week before and I was told that it would suffice to bring in the records from the other office). I'm extremely upset by the poor communication of the staff here and I really hope they get to know a dog before they make assumptions in the future. Needless to say, I will never be returning here.
Excellent staff
